In order to give our campers more personal choices, journeys at Pictured Rocks are afternoon options in which campers have the opportunity to select from a list of activities the activity they would like to do. It allows the camper to do something outside of his or her small group, maybe to improve a skill they experienced while with their group like more archery time or maybe just to do something they really enjoy like playing basketball or volleyball. Whatever the case, Journey Time provides campers the independence to personally select something they want to do at camp.

Journey options are progressive with age for safety and all journeys are not necessarily available every day. Factors include the weather, staff supervision, number of campers on site, and space availability at the time of the journey option.
